These mountains are so tall
they tilt me back just to look at them

looking, absorbed, all of a sudden
I somehow feel the weight of the Earth
and how it is held, effortlessly
in endless, expanding space

and then just as quickly I feel again
my own weight on this green valley floor
and it gives me a splendid laugh
to feel how I am of such little moment!

Einstein was right
there is no greater joy
than knowing you truly do not matter
